Dr Peter H Cole - Introduction to "Lung Cancer Surgical Survivor"

From: Dr Peter Cole, 2PM

Dear Friend,

If you are interested in overcoming the fear of an operation and everything that goes with it ... then this is going to be the most exciting message you ever read.

Here's why:

There is an amazing new ebook called, "Lung Cancer Surgical Survivors." It covers nearly everything you need to know about the experiences of  having an operation and recovery for Lung Cancer as written by 12 of my patients who are now years past the surgery.

Imagine being able to read about everything you wanted to know of surgery for lung cancer as written by a person who has gone through with it- the good the bad and the ugly.. Wouldn't that be great?

Or what about if you could tap into a patient's thoughts and know in advance the important things to focus on to get through an operation. How would that feel if you could do this?

Imagine being able to know in advance how tests are done to investigate a Lung Cancer  and what happens with surgery, and what to expect during recovery and the years after.

That's what this brand new e-book could help you to do.

And it's not like any other ebook you've ever read on overcoming the fear of an operation and everything that goes with it.

Why?

Simply, every section in the book is there because "you asked for it." Well, not "you" really. But from real live questions. Questions from people who were interested in lung cancer, having an operation and recovery. A simple webpage was set up, and people like you visited it and left me their most pressing question on lung cancer, having an operation and recovery.

Then I answered them by getting my patients I had operated on years ago, to write their stories focusing on these questions

Which means no fluff. Just the real answers you want to know.

You'll discover all types of exciting tips.

Here's a sneak peak at what you'll discover in "Lung Cancer Surgical Survivors":

How to relax and not worry when faced with those hard decisions about treatments

Simple ways to get information you can understand on Lung Cancer

The little-known way to contact other people going through the same treatments, to talk together and have a friend

Proven steps to building the body up prior to surgery

Keys to getting over the pain of surgery

How to get support if you’re feeling low.

Long term strategies for reducing lung cancer risk.

Learning tactics for quitting smoking

And that's just a fraction of what you'll find out in "Lung Cancer Surgical Survivors" That's why you should own this book today (in fact, you can be reading in as little as 5 minutes from now!).

Wilma

“….I went home 5 days after the operation.I started my treatment ( radiation) at the Peter McCallum on Jan 18th 1999.This was hard going – 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Radiation is hard on your body and it made me so tired..”

Patricia

“..I’m not going to lie it (having an operation for lung cancer) frightened the wits out of me. But I went home and gave my cigs to a friend and never had another one. It’s been 8 years since I have had a smoke…”

John

“…(At 16) I joined the Merchant Navy as an engine room rating.I did two years at the whaling in South Georgia then 2 years on a cargo ship going round the world – By this time I was quite a heavy smoker…

…(at the time) they showed me the X ray of my lungs with the growth on the left one – cancer.I had just lost my mother and brother-in-law to cancer that very same month,so I was worried.”

Hank

Hank had what turned out to be a carcinoid tumour in the lung. The experience of surgery of the lung is just as much about the pain and the ordeal of the surgery as it is of the cancer worry – as he explains.

Vickie

“..Probably the hardest thing about the whole cancer business is watching the tears welling up in the eyes of those who love you and quietly think you’re dying..”

Doug

(I had to remove the whole of Doug’s right lung for the cancer.)

“…I attended Northcote High School where we would have a smoke at lunch time behind the curator’s house in Merri Park.As a bonus,at Collingwood Technical College and Melbourne Technical College, the apprentices/technicians could smoke in most classes…..During my engineering days, the smokes sometimes got a bit soggy with the oils, compounds and fluids we used so I found it much easier to smoke a pipe…”

Jan

(Written by her daughter)

“(Mum) was prescribed (by her doctor) a detailed nutrition plan that involved a host of vitamins and minerals, daily juices of carrots, apples and greens. There was a long list of foods to avoid and foods that were beneficial.Mum also used to boil up paw paw leaves and drink the juice – a concoction I accidentally swigged thinking it was a bottle of apple juice in the fridge….In addition…she also saught a Buddhist monk…who taught her how to meditate,…” and she also “ learned of an approach to boost her immune system.”

Lorraine

The Health Department arranged for  Mantoux (skin ) testing for all contacts and follow up Chest X Rays if desired……The Health Department contacted me after this X Ray and said they “didn’t like the look of the X Ray”……”The scan identified a “ relatively well-defined 2.2x2.5x1.8cm diameter soft tissue density in the right apex( of the lung).”

9 years after her surgery, she plays golf 2-3 times each week, and is physically and mentally active.

Vickie

Vickie had a Pancoast tumour of the lung and had to have the top of the chest, ribs, lung and nerves removed for the treatment of the Lung Cancer.”…I can remember thinking I was so cool and sophisticated when I first started smoking and by the time I realized how stupid I was, I found I was totally addicted. I tried to give them up many times but always failed…In 2002 I managed to succeed, although I did have the occasional social cigarette.”

Sheila

Sheila is a qualified nurse..” When I was first diagnosed, I simply felt numb and found it hard to accept as I had no symptoms – no cough, no shortness of breath, no discomfort, nothing.”

Rosa

Rosa “was born in Italy 79 years ago “ and grew up during the 2nd World War, moving to Australia in 1951.  “ Cancer of course – its not a nice thing to have. I didn’t have to go through all this by myself, being a widow and not having had children I am lucky to have a sister ( a widow like me) that lives with me, she made sure I behaved ( ie not smoked) ,not for nothing I call her “Mussolini.”
